Role Summary
We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong Business Analysis and Requirements Validation orientation to join 10n Payments. In this role, your primary focus will be to ensure that business requirements are correctly defined, documented, traced, and validated throughout the project lifecycle — from initial stakeholder request through to final implementation. You will act as the bridge between product owners, business stakeholders, compliance, and engineering teams, verifying that every delivered feature accurately reflects the agreed business intent, regulatory obligations, and operational needs. This is a critical role in a regulated fintech environment where precision in requirements directly impacts compliance, risk posture, and customer experience. Reported to product development director
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements (BRDs, user stories, use cases) in collaboration with stakeholders across Product, Compliance, Risk, and Operations
- Establish and maintain end-to-end requirements traceability matrices, ensuring every business requirement maps to technical implementation, test cases, and acceptance criteria
- Validate that business requirements are complete, unambiguous, feasible, and aligned with regulatory constraints (PSD2, DORA, AML/CFT) before handover to Engineering
- Lead structured reviews and walkthroughs of requirements and design documents with business and technical stakeholders to confirm shared understanding
- Monitor and verify implementation progress against approved requirements; identify and escalate deviations, gaps, or scope creep in a timely manner
- Define and enforce acceptance criteria for each deliverable; coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and sign-off procedures with business owners
- Conduct gap analysis between ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ processes, documenting impact on people, systems, and controls within the EMI operating model
- Ensure all changes to business requirements are formally logged, impact-assessed, and communicated to affected parties through a controlled change management process
- Collaborate with QA and Engineering to verify that test plans and test cases provide adequate coverage of business and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and present validation reports, status dashboards, and risk/issue logs to senior leadership and scheme partners (Visa, SEPA) where applicable
- Maintain a centralized repository of project documentation, decisions, and requirement baselines to support internal audits and regulatory examinations
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, business analysis, or a hybrid PM/BA role, with at least 2 years in fintech, payments, or financial services
- Demonstrated expertise in requirements engineering: elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, and change management
- Proven track record of verifying business-against-implementation alignment in complex, regulated technology projects
- Strong knowledge of payment ecosystems: card schemes, digital wallets, SEPA, AML/CFT, and operational risk frameworks
- Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or business analysis (CBAP, IIBA-CCA) is highly desirable; Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, PSM) is a plus
- Proficiency with requirements and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Visio, BPMN tools, or similar)
- Experience creating and managing traceability matrices, process flow diagrams, and RACI charts in a regulated environment
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ability to read technical documentation to validate implementation accuracy
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and negotiation skills at all organisational levels
- Ability to translate complex regulatory and business language into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams
- Fluent English (written and spoken); Bulgarian is highly preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience with scheme certification processes (Visa, Mastercard, SEPA Instant) and their documentation requirements
- Knowledge of DORA, PSD2, EBA/GL/2019/04, and how regulatory obligations translate into system requirements
- Background in software development, system architecture, or QA — enabling deeper validation of technical implementation
- Experience working within a group structure with multiple legal entities and shared service delivery models
- Familiarity with business process modelling notation (BPMN) and data flow diagramming
- Previous exposure to audit or compliance review processes from a project delivery perspective
